"It's Complicated"

The Facebook is taking over college campuses. If Google ever buys the Facebook, the world will come to an end. Its a nice site, all of the little features are nice. However there's one thing that's really stupid: "Its Complicated". So you have a bunch of options for your relationship status. Single, In a Relationship, Married etc. For whatever reason, the Facebook team decided to add complication to the matter.

People, there's nothing complicated about it: You're either in a relationship or not! A relationship is a commitment to another person. Its not the level of commitment as marriage, but a commitment nonetheless. If you aren't committed to another person, you aren't in a relationship! How hard is that to understand? Some might say "Well we have an on and off relationship." That makes absolutely no sense. It can't be a commitment if its on and off. If you're "committed" today, and then uncommitted the next, then committed... etc. etc. etc., THERE IS NO COMMITMENT. If you're in love with the person, it doesn't matter. If there is no commitment between the two people, then its not a relationship. If I'm in love with Halle Berry, and she doesn't want to be with me (which she doesn't), THEN ITS NOT A RELATIONSHIP. I won't say "Its complicated". Don't make an issue harder than it has to be with all this terminology.

Its complicated... please.

Anyway, I have to get back to work. Just wanted to vent at the silliness of what I see sometimes.

BTW, this wasn't the post I had in mind for the other day, just something I chose to write about since I saw it today. That post may never get written again, I talked with someone about it, and I don't feel like writing about it now. It had something to do with Corporate America, GPA and shallow women. No really, there is a connection. However, you will have to figure it out on your own... for now...

Ok, sometimes we REALLY don't think

So I'm reading the blog of a really good friend and she says that she would be hitting ctrl+c and ctrl+a more frequently, since her blog has been messing up on her. I read it and nothing registered. This is because sometimes we REALLY don't think.

I was in the process of writing the greatest post in the history of blogs (ok, that's exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea). This post was really long, I was venting a lot, but it was good. For some odd reason, Firefox just decided it would be a good idea to crash for absolutely no reason.

So that great post will have to wait till another day.

Well, I stand corrected. Maybe Firefox did crash for a reason. At least now I'm going to go back to studying earlier! LOL.

About me

  • I'm Preventer Wind
  • From Clarkson University, New York, United States
  • I was born and raised in Brooklyn, for the most part. My parents sent me to live in Barbados when I was 5 and brought me back here 2 months before I was going to turn 8. I was fairly intelligent, until I came to Clarkson :-P. My grades went south, but I refuse to give up! As hard as things get in life (and things have gotten plenty hard in mine), I have learned not to give up, but to keep faith in Jesus who I gave my life to at the age of 13. And no, my parents didn't make me. I made that decision on my own. They never once even suggested that I get saved. I chose to with my own contrite heart. So above all else, Jesus comes first in my life. So I'm a cool guy, I love everyone, dislike no one, but I HATE to be annoyed! (You're entitled to hate me all you want, but please don't aggrevate me! ) I'm a huge sports fan! Even though I'm pretty knowledgeable in sports, all my favorite teams stink (Raiders, Kings, Mets). Other than that, I'm pretty much game to do anything that's at least permissable by God. So what else is there to know about me? Read the rest of my profile!
